Victory (at last)

A Victory (at last)

Today we played against the Alcorcón rugby team. We won! At last! Wow! we won 42-0! I haven't got the words to express my awe. Incredible! We got spectacular help from the A team. The two fastest runners in the team helped us the most. We also got our strongest (and the plumpest, by the way) player. each try was better elaborated than the one before. Every combination left our opponents baffled. And every time our opponents got even more aggressive. Our right wing, my friend S.V. was one of the maximum threats our opponent could expect. Now, let's hope that we get more similar victories in the future.

Arquitectura rojo

A Total Loss

Today we played Arquitectura Rojo. The worst match ever. Nobody felt like tackling and the final score was:
Arquitectura Rojo loads-0 Cisneros

From the team that was summoned we had to call for help to U-12 because we had 2 players missing (one had cracked his head open and the other was away skiing) so that in the end we also had to summon 2 players from the A-team.
The worst part was that I, who have always been a lock (a forwards) hsve had to play as 2nd centre (three-quarters). I had my moments in the game. But my passes never reached their target and all the opponents slid away from me all the time. Well, I hope we'll get there some day.

First game

The experiences of a rugby player

I'll start my blog on the day on which our team, the Cisneros rugby club, played against Colmenar Viejo.

We started nicely and even though we recieved the first try, the first half ended with a spectaclar      (Colmenar viejo 7-14 Cisneros)

The second half was a lot worse, and even though we were winning 12-21, we recieved a try with its transformation (19-21). In the last 15-20 minutes of the game, our left wing got out of his place and entered a ruck. That left the way clear for Colmenar Viejo's right wing to recieve the ball and sprint towards the empty try line. Even though there was no transformation (they repeated it because they complained that we were screaming to disract them) we were doomed (24-21). Well, the match ended when we were on their try line. Anyway, we thought the scrum should be disputed (one of their team scored on their space and that means scrum for us)!
I don't understand why it happened.
